Parsons verbal history from Dorothy & Constance Parsons

Eldest Parsons child was always understood by David to be Ivy Parsons. However Dorothy Parsons told David that Ivy was not Cecil's biological Daughter and that Ivy's father was "the boy next door" (no name provided), therefore David's Mum Joan E.L. Parsons was actually the eldest biological child of Cecil N Parsons & Ada E. Child. This was apparently know to the Parsons family but kept quite. It was also known to Davids two Sisters. From discussions with Bernard Mayes David concluded that after Ada Emmaline Parsons died that Joan became the "Matriarch" of the Parsons family for the sisters, Unfortunately Joan was not of a strong enough disposition to handle all the problems the sisters brought to her and was too "soft" to tell them to get on with it themselves.
