If our Caroline and John are the same I have a death certificate for both of them.
On the 1841 census I have John as 25 and Caroline as Edwards age 22 William age three.
1861 census Caroline now named Ruskin aged 42 and John aged 50
On the 1871 census I have Caroline aged 53 and a widow living in St Luke Finsbury
Death certificates of Caroline 1.12.1893 aged 72 years and John Whitecross Street aged 60 13.02.1871
John and Caroline would have been my great great grandparents
